The other day my 7 year old nephew called me and asked me if I could help him with his crafts class.
I am always ready to help my nieces and nephews and I asked him what he wants me to do.
He said his teacher has asked him to make something out of waste materials and the material that he was asked to use was a Coconut.
So, I got him two big coconuts and we tried some strings and planted a plant in it.
Coconut has a strong husk and it can survive for a long time. Someone once told me to use these waste coconuts and make a hanging pot out of it.
I wasn't too interested in it until my nephew gave me the idea. It is very basic and simple pot. We didn't paint it and we didn't add any glitter.
We used a Mini-Ixora plant as it's roots don't grow large and the plant has flowers all year around.
And I like this plant.
My nephew sent me the pictures and they looks awesome.
Now I'm thinking of making more of these and sell them in my nursery.
I don't know if there will be any demand for it but it will be a good idea to implement.
