The eternal wisdom of Nature, the environment and the myth of the eternal return. [ENG/ESP]

The cycle of nature has a beginning and an end, like all things in life, only in this case it is (almost) imperceptible to the human eye.

In my extensive wandering in various parts of the world I have seen entire alpine forests covered in snow, European motorways so crowded with cars that it was impossible to find a gap to pass through, and beaches with so many tourists that it was impossible to think of finding a free spot available.

El ciclo de la naturaleza tiene un inicio y un final, como todos las cosas en la vida, solo que en este caso es (casi) imperceptible al ojo humano.

En mi extenso deambular por varias partes del mundo he visto enteros bosques alpinos cubiertos de nieve, autopistas europeas tan repletas de automóviles que era imposible encontrar un hueco por donde pasar y playas con tantos turistas que era imposible pensar en encontar un lugar libre disponible.

On the other side of the ocean I have seen fires destroy entire populations of trees and native vegetation in the immeasurable and mysterious Patagonia and yet the following year I have seen that same vegetation grow back, little by little, pines, larches, confifers of all kinds and very small radal trees still peeping to life, defending themselves from natural and human calamities, not allowing themselves to be defeated by fate.

I have also seen storms and tempests raging across vast plains, coasts and mountains as if a divine force had unleashed a veritable natural pandemonium. I have trodden on the soil of thousands of hectares covered by water in the Buenos Aires region of Argentina as a result of floods and heavy rains. And yet nature is reborn.

Del otro lado del océano he visto incendios destruir enteras poblaciones de árboles y vegetación nativa en la Patagonia inconmensurable y misteriosa y sin embargo al año siguiente he visto a esa misma vegetación volver a crecer, de a poco, pinos, alerces, confíferas de todo tipo y radales muy pequeños todavía asomándose a la vida, defendiéndose de las calamidades naturales y humanas, no dejándose vencer por el destino.

También he visto trementas tormentas y temporales azotar extensas llanuras, costas y montañas como si una fuerza divina hubiera desatado un verdadero pandemonio natural. He pisado el suelo de miles de hectáreas cubiertas por las aguas en la región bonaerense de Argentina producto de las inundaciones y de las intensas lluvias. Y sin embargo la naturaleza renace.

My eyes still retain the images of the tremendous earthquakes that have hit and are still hitting a large part of central Italy, destroying an entire city (l'Aquila) and the whole region around it, and I cannot understand what had unleashed such violent rage in the natural elements (even if the scientific explanation was another, more reasonable, balanced and objective one).

There is something magical, indestructible about nature. It is like a mother that generates children and takes care of them and protects them from all the surrounding dangers.

Mis ojos conservan todavía las imágenes de los tremendos terremotos que han azotado y lo siguen haciendo aún en gran parte del centro de Italia destruyendo una entera ciudad (l'Aquila) y toda la región que la rodeaba no logrando entender cuúl era el motivo que había desatado una ira tan violenta en los elementos naturales (aunque la explicación científica fuera otra, más razonable, equilibrada y objetiva).

La naturaleza tiene en si algo de mágico, de indestructible. Es como una madre que genera hijos y los cuida y protege de todos los peligros circundantes.

Fauna and flora protect themselves. When a species disappears due to an imbalance in biodiversity or direct human action, another similar species is ready to replace it.

Only when they are viciously persecuted by humans do they run the risk of disappearing, as has happened to some animal species.

La fauna y la flora se protegen a si mismos. Cuando una especie desaperece por la acción de un desequilibrio de la biodiversidad o por la acción directa del ser humano hay otra especie similar pronta a suplantarla.

Sólo cuando son perseguidas con saña por el ser humano corren el riesgo de desaparecer como ha sucedido con algunas especies animales.

When they are punished by climatic, atmospheric or any other kind of phenomena, they always manage to survive.

I wanted to share with all the #blurtians of this wonderful platform some images that I have been photographing over the years and then I have been leaving them aside because they do not refer to any particular place.

Cuando son castigadas por fenómenos climáticos, atmosféricos o de cualquier otra índole siempre logran sobrevivir.

He querido compartir con todos los #blurtians de esta maravillosa plataforma algunas imágenes que he ido fotografiando con el pasar de los años y que luego he ido dejando de lado porque no se refieren a ningún lugar en particular.

They reflect the everyday nature that we often fail to see blinded by futile and unimportant things.

The natural environment that surrounds us, sometimes as simple as it is marvellous. It regenerates itself every day in spite of our (un)voluntary efforts to prevent it.

Reflejan la naturaleza diaria que muchas veces no vemos enceguecidos por cosas fútiles e instrascendentes.

El ambito natural que nos rodea, a veces tan simple como maravilloso. Que se autoregenera todos los días a pesar de nuestro (in)voluntario esfuerzo por impedirlo.

Each catastrophe involves thousands and thousands of hours of work to restore part of what has been destroyed and allow nature to take its course.

But even without this human intervention, nature continues, on its own and without any help, to fulfil its restorative value in the life of the entire planet.

Cada catástrofe implica miles y miles de horas de trabajo para volver a recuperar parte de lo destruído y permitir que la naturaleza siga si curso.

Pero aún sin esta intervención humana la naturaleza sigue, por su cuenta y sin ninguna ayuda, cumpliendo su valor restaurador en la vida del entero planeta.
