For my birthday I want something out of the ordinary. I don't necessarily want a new computer, a new phone, or anything of the sort. Instead, I want a portion scale or a bench scale. That's right, just a scale for fruits. The scale is just for simply weighing the food I am growing to sell fresh food to my neighbors. Typically I don't ask for much, but this has to be my oddest birthday request.
I've been growing food for a while and I need another viable source of income. Lately, I was thinking I should take selling fruits or vegetables a little more seriously. The idea has been in my head for a few months and today I finally decided to try and achieve this little goal for me. Of course, I don't plan on participating in Farmer's markets but selling locally grown food seems like a good idea for my neighborhood and family. Customers are plenty, so all I have to do is have a supply of some of their favorite crops.
I have a few more months to plan this all out, so I've got some time.
