Farm Strawberries
Since I didn't get a proper strawberry harvest this year, I decided to get it from the experts. There's a farm nearby (about half an hour's drive, lol) that let's you in to pick your own berries and other produce and pay by weight. You're not allowed to eat the fruits until you've weighed and paid, of course, but they turn a blind eye to kids picking and eating, which I think is quite nice of them. It's a lot of fun for kids to experience that.
When I was a kid, I had the experience of farming and eating the produce, so it always brings back that memory when I visit farms.
I got strawberries and a few other things, including green beans, which tasted just incredible. The difference between the green beans and the one I usually get from the supermarkets (even the organic ones) is staggering. Even the berries, you can taste the green in them. It's hard to explain, but I'm sure some of you know exactly what I mean.π
It goes without saying that the farm is 100% organic. It means you do encounter a lot a lot of slugs and insects since they also love these fruits and vegetables. To be honest, if insects and slugs don't like the produce, we shouldn't be going anywhere near it.
Peace & Love,

You can come and pick strawberries in mine for free, I have almost too many to eat. The green beans are also coming now and yes they are amazing.
Yum.. how cool. The green beans are just so delicious. It's going to be hard to go back to eating the supermarket stuff lol.
Plant more, they don't just have to be planted when the packet says. I'm planting more and hoping for an Indian summer again. Last October was just like summer here.

What beautiful strawberries, just taken from the plant, that is freshness! For weeks I have been craving strawberries but here the ones I have obtained are not very pretty, with the heat they have dehydrated and it is not worth buying them like that.
And they taste amazing too.. not the usual disappointing taste from some shinny ones you can get in the shops.
