Danger! Giant Bright Rocks In the sky

Moon watchers will already be aware of the Buck Full Moon we are expecting today. it's going to be the brightest ever, apparently. I don't know how they know that, but I'm sure there's some science in that.

Additionally, there is a giant comet K2 zooming past us. It will be closest to us tomorrow, even though it can already be seen today. It will also be the brightest comet ever. Again, not sure how they know, but, you know, science.

So, of course, it's going to be a spectacular view here in London since we've had clear blue skies for the past month right? Er, nope. Apparently not. The clouds are having the last laugh here , showing up right at the perfect time to obstruct the most spectacular cosmological event in living memory. Nice.

I knew there was some kind of catch when, last month, we were treated to the Strawberry Full Moon without obstruction. Little did I know then that it was just to harbinger of this event. SMH.

So why "danger"?

Well, check this out. Apparently the moon's phase has some kind of yet unexplained effect on the financial markets. Stocks tend to do well near new moons, and very badly around full moons! WHAT?!

Check this out. We are expecting the CPI report from the US, which almost always has a bad effect, unless it's a really good report. We are expecting it to be bad, hence the markets are nervous anyway.

For you woo-woos out there. What's the significance of a giant crashing rock zooming past us just in time to join the party to make it a trifecta of doom? Hahaha.
