El día que tomé esta fotografía estaba de visita en casa de mi hermana Teresa. Estábamos observando una planta conocida como Datura, algunos la conocen con el nombre de Burundanga, que se encuentra sembrada en un terreno enfrente del edificio donde ella vive. Mientras yo le estaba diciendo que esta planta tiene compuestos tóxicos en sus hojas y flores, observé este mosquito alimentándose de la planta y lo vi tan grande que me dispuse a tomarle una fotografía. Me gustó esta foto porque se pueden detallar cada una de las partes del insecto. A mi me parecen muy interesantes y tan perfectos como la naturaleza, claro que también pueden llegar a ser molestos cuando pican y esto solo lo hacen las hembras.

The day I took this picture I was visiting my sister Teresa's house. We were observing a plant known as Datura, some people know it by the name of Burundanga, which is planted in a field in front of the building where she lives. While I was telling her that this plant has toxic compounds in its leaves and flowers, I observed this mosquito feeding on the plant and I saw it so big that I decided to take a picture of it. I liked this photo because you can detail each of the parts of the insect. I find them very interesting and as perfect as nature, of course they can also be annoying when they bite and this is only done by the females.
