I have heard of pink bananas but I always thought it was just a fairytale but today I was proven wrong I was walking through the Royal Botanic Gardens in the city of Sydney, and I was blown away when I came across these banana trees which had pink bananas growing on them I actually had to go up and touch them because I thought maybe someone maybe had hang them on the tree for a prank but god dammit they were real pink bananas.
When first looking at this pink banana it looks more like an ornamental banana, but actually this small pink banana is edible these pink bananas originate from Assam in India and the eastern Himalaya.
These pink bananas have actually got a Botanically name called Musa Velutina and are known as the prettiest banana in the world. After planting this pink banana tree, it will take 9 to 12 months to produce the flowers and another 3 months for the fruits to ripen. They would make a nice tropical landscape tree around a pool.

Well, I live in a tropical country, I really like bananas, and I'm really surprised to hear about these peculiar bananas with such a striking color, it makes me curious about how they will taste :)
Very rare to find they say because they take so long to grow and have been told they are very sweet check out the link on google....
