Today I would like to share you a photo of an ornamental plant which is in Indonesia named Pacar Air. This flowering plant has Latin name Impatiens balsamina. It is a plant native to South and Southeast Asia but was introduced to America in the 19th century. This plant is annual or biennial and has flowers that are purple, white, red and pink. The flower shape resembles a small orchid. This plant can reach one meter high with thick but not woody stems and serrated leaves.
This plant is very popular with bees and other insects that help pollinate it. However, this plant cannot live in a dry environment. Various parts of this plant are commonly used as traditional medicine.
