The Ford F-150 Lightning is a fully electric pickup truck. As a fan of Ford, especially the durable F-150, I am excited about this vehicle.

The Ford F-150 Lightning has 426 HP and starts around $55,000. If you want to add on, expect to see a fully loaded unit cost $70-75,000. The vehicle has a generator that can power your house if you lose power, and given the large number of dangerous Winter storms we have had in 2022, it's a solid selling point. Electric vehicles need to be durable, have good mileage and perform like their gas and diesel counterparts do. The Ford F-150 is an industrial and construction workhorse that is being revolutionized as an electric vehicle.

I like electric vehicles, and despite the hauling criticism, this is a cool concept. Smaller electric vehicles including Rivian and Tesla. Rivian has a larger truck for sale called the R1-T and the Tesla Cyber Truck is dropping soon. Ford is a reliable brand who is changing their production to electric vehicles that will become the future of automobiles.

The 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning is MotorTrends' car of the year. It's a cool concept that I would pick up in the $75,000 Lariat model if I had the change. Here's to a prosperous 2023!
