Music I love, part 3 - Haujobb

in music •  4 years ago  (edited)

Haujobb is a cyberpunk electro band from Germany. Several of their more well known songs such as from the albums Vertical Theory, Homes and Gardens, and Polarity make references to writings from William Gibson and other cyberpunk writers.

I thought of posting this artist today as I was listening to it on Soundcloud and the song above contains the line "Spit it out" in the chorus... another idiom for the word Blurt.

I love their music, it has that vibe of the cyberpunk, and they are really good at making really grating sounds open you up then converge back... one of my favourite examples of that is Dead Market (the eponymous song on that EP)

I hope you are enjoying my series of music posts. Music is critical to my own experience of life, and especially helps me work by taking my mind off the misery of the day, which is especially important now with the whole world being whipped up into trembling fear.

Actually I do like it, I often listen to instrumental electro type music. I especially love violin remixes and epic female vocals.
