Ex Machina - The Frightening Fiction of Artificial Intelligence and its Advanced Dimensions

The idea of advanced stages of artificial intelligence being incorporated into human life through robots is frightening to some. As one of the scary ones, the movie Ex Machina, with its story that can trigger fears, can give preliminary ideas about artificial intelligence and its possible consequences.

Starting with the adventure of the winner of a lottery among the employees of a search engine to spend a week with Nathan Bateman (played by Oscar Isaac) who isolates himself from human life, the movie takes a new dimension with information about how a search engine can decipher a person's life and the latest status of the robot integrated with artificial intelligence.

Although I knew that the theme of the movie was artificial intelligence, I was more interested in the possibility of a search engine deciphering a private life. When compared to today's world, it is quite meaningful to get accurate results on character and personality tests based on the searched words.

Caleb Smith (played by Domhnall Gleeson), as the lucky winner, was impressive with his question and answer performance in every session from the moment he took on the task of testing the artificial intelligence robot. I can say that the character, who did not hide his astonishment at the progress of the artificial intelligence he tested, reflected the reality with his role in those moments.

Ava (played by Alicia Vikander), an AI-integrated woman with almost the same looks and charm as a real woman, performed at a level that could peak many people's fear of artificial intelligence.

Was what was being tested really the ultimate in artificial intelligence? Or was it a questioning of AI's ability to convince a human?

In the latter case, the highlighting of AI's feelings for a human was the most dangerous form of development in the ways it can be used to persuade when necessary.

Over the course of watching Ex Machina, my opinion kept changing. In the beginning, it was the character of Nathan that I admired for his creative role, but during the sessions where he put the AI to the test, it was the character of Caleb.

But at the end of the movie, the character of Ava trumped them all with the way she deceived the producer of the artificial intelligence and the person who put her to the test. I can say that the movie is a perfectly thought out sci-fi production other than the fact that it triggers fears.

I have watched the movie many times so far and as time passes, I will continue to watch it for the sake of remembering. I recommend everyone who has not seen it to watch it at least once. Even if you have no idea or fear of artificial intelligence before the movie, I think you will after the movie. Have a good time.

I would love to see it, although I admit that this AI topic scares me a lot. My fear is based on that negative side or repercussion that it may have, because like everything it depends on the intentions, whether good or bad. Yes, I am not indifferent to scientific-technical advances, far from it, on the contrary, but I cannot help but think about what could happen in this order.

My greetings.

Thanks, at least it's good to have an idea. Artificial intelligence is also scary to me because the use case will be abused. If not by humans, then maybe in very advanced times by artificial intelligence programs themselves.
