So I just concluded this kdrama series which I was satisfied with. You know those kind of series you watch and the ending just hits the right spots, yeah this kdrama series was it for me. These days I can't seem to get enough of the series as they have a lot ongoing at the moment, I mean for kdramas they know how well to hook their viewers.
Is law really just? Using law against law, a professor and his students would stand to uphold justice.
Law School is a legal themed drama directed by Kim Suk-yoon, with a number of 16 episodes it starred Kim Myung-Min, Lee Jung-Eun, Kim Beom and many others.
The drama follows the lives of different individuals in law, lawyers, prosecutors, professors and students in law school....also prisoners, as they are somewhat related. It portrays the struggles law students faces in school, how persistent and careful they have to be in handling cases as these case are human lives. On the other hand, we see the professors, especially professor Yang Jong-Hoon using real life situations to teach his students on how to handle cases in court.
The drama ushers the viewers to a case of murder which took place in one of the prestigious law schools in the city. Now every one is a suspect.
The series follow the professors and students handling various cases in different episodes, ranging from murder, plagiarism, bribery et al. Showing situations where what is right becomes conflicted with the law. There is a also a form of power play...those who in one way or the other uses their authority and connection to get away with corruption, not leaving out media manipulation.
The characters are interesting in their own ways, a good character development and a wonderful portrayal of roles. Personally, I enjoyed watching the different personalities the students brought to my screen....it made me remember my university days. Characters such as Yang Jong-Min a professor, Kang Sol B a student Seo Ji-ho, would make you serious and all focused as they have something going on with them. While, characters like Kang Sol A, Park Geun-Hee, Min Bok-Ki, Jo Ye-Beom would give you a good laugh.
Although, some of the acts in the courtroom was unrealistic but I enjoyed the creative initiative...it's a drama right? I may have even picked a thing or two from this drama, law drama/movie gets me like a chilled can of beer almost every time. The end was satisfying but some issues were left unsolved, so hopefully we get a season two.
