It is no longer a news that the part 2 of coming to America is out. The part 1 of this movie has been released for over 30years before the part 2 was released earlier this year.

For the sake of those that haven't watch part 1, i will briefly talk about what happened there. The only prince of Zamunda(Prince Akeem) till his 21st birthday haven't done anything by himself including taking his bathe. Brushing his teeth, bathing, eating, dressing up and styling his hair is all done by the slaves of Zamunda kingdom. As at this time, he thought its time for him to get married. Looking for a suitable spouse has not been easy despite having dozens of proposal from important personnel and high-rank officers but he was not satisfied with any of them.
He left Zamunda for Queens in London in search of a good wife for himself. On getting to Queens, he saw a need for him to live a low profile life so as to achieve his aim. He became a cleaner at McDowell's company, there he finally found the love of his life Lisa. Lisa is the first daughter of the owner of McDowell's company in Queens. They got married at Zamunda after Prince Akeem disclosed that he's a prince from Zamunda.
Review of coming to America Part 2
The king of Zamunda, Jaffe Joffer has already grew old while his son, Prince Akeem had given birth to three daughters of which the eldest of them is Princess Meeka Joffer. King Jaffe Joffer asked his only son to do his burial when he was still alive because he want to witness it
and how memorial it would be. Prince Akeem(Eddie murphy) agreed to do this based on the fact that it is the last request from his father. The day came and went as the king passed away(died) on that same day during the course of celebration. Then, prince Akeem automatically became the king if Zamunda being the only heir to the kingdom.
King Akeem is a weakling but still tried his possibly best to maintain peace in Zamunda even after knowing that General Izzi is trying to disrupt the peace of the land. It now came to the king that he need a heir to make the kingdom stand even though he never thought of his first born, Meeka Joffer who has been preparing to inherit the throne from his father. Before the late king died, he told prince Akeem that he(Akeem) had a son in Queens for a slut when he went there in search of a wife. Prince Akeem was amazed which prompted him to reconfirm from his friend that accompanied him to queens then, Semmi.
King Akeem and his friend both went back to Queens to search for his son and brought him to Zamunda. Though, he insisted that his mother must follow him. He went through all the process expected of him to be a prince which include bravery test. On the day he is to be crowned as the prince of Zamunda, the celebration has begun when he eavesdropped the discussion between King Akeem and General Izzi. He decided to leave Zamunda with one of the slaves he love and his mother and uncle.
King Akeem has no other option at this point than to take his and Lisa's first child as the heir of Zamunda kingdom.
