This repetitive chanting is taken from a dark cult's ritual of putting two souls in one body. The ritual seems to aim to put two souls in one body, but the reality is different. It aims to kill the true owner of the body and put another soul inside.

Standing out with its distinct thriller-horror genre, the 2023 #Thai film Home for Rent manages to keep the viewer in a state of fear thanks to the ever-increasing tension. The idea of placing two souls in a promised body may be appealing to those who have lost loved ones.

The way cults use people's weaknesses to make them followers and then use them for their own benefit is well depicted through the Father Kwin. The acting of Sukollawat Kanarot, who plays the role of a father who lost his first daughter and tries to keep both daughters alive in one body by keeping the soul of his lost daughter alive in the body of his second daughter, was quite successful.

**Ning **(played by Nittha Jirayungyurn) was my favorite character in the film as both the victim and the mother willing to do anything for her daughter Ing (played by Thanyaphat Mayuraleela). While she did justice to her role as a victim and a defender against the dark cult members, the drama of her acceptance of her daughter (a different person in spirit), whose soul was lost but whose body was still alive, was heartbreaking.

The story of the movie is based on realities that can be called horrible, but I don't think it's for every scene. The idea of using a body like renting a house is quite unrealistic, and it's not a logical approach to talk about it being real. Nevertheless, there are cults obsessed with similar ideas and people who join them. Those among them who have contrary discourses and actions can be a threat to everyone, and unfortunately, it is not known when and where they will be encountered.

What I like most about the film is that while the story is told to the audience in its flat form and some gaps about the film are left, there is a second part that matures the story and fills the gaps. I can also summarize this as front of the curtain and behind the curtain. While the front of the screen serves to question and identify the gaps, the back of the screen serves to answer the questions and fill the gaps. Just as it blurs the mind, it suddenly illuminates it.

With the performances of the actors, the shooting angles and the soundtrack, Home for Rent was one of the films that I found to be a great movie. I think it is a must watch for those looking for a different country and genre. The way the suspense was handled and the feeling of fear was more related to the performances of the actors than the location or the music. Especially the main characters deserve a lot of praise. If you have time, I recommend you to watch the movie without thinking. I wish a good time to everyone who will watch it.
