There are three kinds of people: people who follow instructions, people who don’t follow instructions, and people who follow their heart. If you fall into the first category, you will probably never achieve anything great. If you fall into the second, you will never realize your potential. And, if you fall into the third category, you will live life in abundance.


Here are some tips to help you start pushing yourself out of your comfort zones:

Write

Every day, write down three things you did in the past week that pushed you out of your comfort zone. They could be things like writing a blog post, starting a side business, or speaking to an audience.

Get Real with Yourself

It’s important to understand where you are and where you want to be before you can move forward. To this end, I’ve developed a tool called The “Personal Impact Calculator” that helps you measure your progress and gives you a clearer picture of where you stand. The tool is a free download.

Find Your Motivation

People often lose sight of why they started doing something. Once you get a grip on why you’re doing what you’re doing, you will find new ways to fuel your passion and push through.

Create New Goals

By setting goals for yourself, you will be able to measure how far you’ve come. This allows you to know whether you are moving closer or further away from your goals.

Never Stop Learning

If you stop learning, you will stagnate. As Albert Einstein said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
