Hello friends, in the previous posts I named this flower as Canna Lily. The name was Canna Lily after the name of the subcontinent and the region of Africa. But in our Bangladesh this flower is known as Kalabati. Due to the large leaves and green leaves like banana trees, this flower is called Kalavati flower in our country.
Kalavati or Sarvajaya (scientific name: Canna indica; Marathi language: करदल; Sanskrit: बनकेली; Sarvajaya is a type of plant belonging to the Canna family and genus Canna. Its native land is the Caribbean region and the tropical regions of America. It is also widely planted as an ornamental flower in gardens. It Perennial plant.
