When I look around me, I see that almost everyone is chasing money, and I will not say I am not included in it. Yes, I too have that in me of earning more money. Because without money it is difficult to survive in today's world. But more important is the realization of feeling satisfied at some point of time. Which I can say that yes, I have that ability. There is never an end to our demands and desires. Whatever we earn we always feel it's less and more is needed, but that's not the case. If we start drawing lines for ourself then we will be satisfied with what we have.
Me and hubby are planning to retire from our jobs by end of 2025, we have both worked enough and saved well over the years. We are both self-made, we never had any inheritance and we worked hard for every single thing in our life. We are not touching our retirement age but yet we want to retire, because we feel that we have enough to sustain the rest of our life peacefully. Our friends tell us that we should not retire and continue with our jobs so that money keeps flowing.
For us there are other things that matter now and personally we both are on the same page that money is one thing where one will never feel it's enough so we have to draw a line, and we have created some sources for a running income, though it will not be as much as what we are earning now, but it will keep us going. Especially hubby is a very contended and a simple person, we are both happy and satisfied with small things and if big things come our way we more then welcome it. Making this decision has not been a challenge for us at all. It bothers our friends more then us, but we are happy that we are able to take this decision. We want to travel and see the world before we are too old to do it, we want to do many other things in life, I have a dream of making candles and making a small business out of it, so all of these things though may not generate much of money but it will bring us lot of happiness and that's what we are both aiming for now.
