What was it?

Installed Fortnight for the Kids on a VM and changed the allocated ressources for that VM. I think something went wrong with power allocation and it was crashing repeatedly a few times before I figured the reasons. The host would not boot up. Now fixed on its own after multiple boot attempts.

Now that VM seams to have experienced corrupt boot sector too, so can’t boot it up now, same for my IPFS server in it. For preventing future service loss as this, I am preparing to copy all IPFS CID content on another old laptop I will convert has my primary IPFS server.

I exhausted my attempts without success so far. I reverted to previous VM snapshot, scanned for bad sector, used repair tool and tried repair from USB Windows Install USB…

But that roadblock happening is just a synchronistic event reorienting my Timelines for the best. So all is good under the sun my Friend’

Will try to rebuild the boot sector and after will have a PCIe slot for backing up the whole NUC, with the purchase of a 4TB NVMe SSD.
