The One False Unity Concealing The Many

Jon Rappoport has three collections of materials; they seek to explain how to manifest reality and many exercises on developing the "mental muscles" needed to do so in one's own life. The first collection was The Matrix Revealed. Within the collection is a very long interview with a hypnotherapist, Jack True (a psudonym), and, as Jon has copied this in a recent article, I shall quote this section at length.

“Some patients encounter a ‘monolith’,” he said. “They come across a symbol that is there in the subconscious. Sometimes it looks like a closed door. Sometimes it shows up as a blank wall. Sometimes it’s a geometric shape. One patient actually called it a ‘brick sky’.”

“But in every case, it locked up the patient’s ability to recall or explore under hypnosis. It was like a giant obstruction on a road. However, these patients could describe something about the nature of the symbol. They said it was broadcasting a message: ‘THIS IS REALITY’.”

“The patients were in awe of the symbol. It had a deep emotional effect on them. It was as if many different realities had come together to form this single symbol, like separate pieces clicking into place.”

Jack went further. He stated that the symbol induced a profound passivity in his patients…

Jack subsequently devised strategies to take apart the symbol, so these patients could rid themselves of their passivity and access huge amounts of previously blocked energies.

This is what is happening now, throughout the world, in manifest reality.

People will kneel down and worship the One - the one idea, even when it is a huge lie, even when it is merely the wrapper around a multitude of other lies.

Belief is an algorithm.

It is designed as a safety-valve to stop the mind asking questions it cannot answer. But it can also be a constructed algorithm, from outside, so that what you are believing has been created outside of you - and not for your benefit, but for your obedience.

If anybody has come up against such mental walls, then would be interesting to share.

Just to add that Jack, the hypnotherapist, does not divulge the full method for breaking down such a wall. I have read others who have achieved similar things - they didn't survive long. The creation, propagation and maintenance of a belief-structure is a very serious business.

In the Casteneda books, he would describe this as the tonal and nagual.

The tonal being everything one could name/categorize. The nagual everything outside of that, the mysterious power of what is.

He said that when one is making trips into the nagual one must be very careful not to frighten or try to destroy the tonal. That the tonal side of us would commit suicide at a certain point if one didn't care for it and make sure it remained healthy. That in the face of the nagual it will feel small and realize its powerlessness and illusion. This was part of his description given to him for being a man of knowledge from his benefactor who was a Yaqui medicine man.

I always appreciated his presentations in books, as they often had many detailed practices one could use to stalk their own tonal as they explored the nagual. Unfortunately he seemed to succumb to forces that lay in wait for our perception to shift into their sphere, and it appeared to me to have driven him insane on a power trip in the latter part of his life. He was unable to take the warnings he was given that he discussed in his early work and implement it himself.

This post reminded me of that, and another thing as well.

My first impression when reading of the wall you mention was stories I've read on the MKultra mind slaves. Split into so many fractions inside, with many of the deeper ones programmed to kill themselves if they were discovered under hypnosis so the person couldn't reveal things past a certain point.

Yes, I recall now. The experience of the nagual is so much more powerful, compared to our mundane tonal, that the idea can arise to just abandon the tonal altogether.

Similar to the dream-den in the movie Inception - those who have abandoned their life to "live" as much as possible in the dream-world. More interesting but, like drug addicts, the body will degrade... and in the end take the mind with it.

As for Castaneda himself, I have nothing invested in the veracity of his stories. If they serve some purpose as stepping stones to unlock other people's imaginations, then that is of benefit. Like so much in this realm, believe nothing, instead find those experiences that can be reproduced oneself. That is surely the ultimate aim.
