The Martian || If you grow crops in a place, you colonise it.

It can be seen as a simple human need to be alone and unreachable for a while without any sound. After all, we are human; we want to spend a peaceful time alone in a quiet, calm environment in order to recover ourselves, to rest spiritually and to turn negative energy into positive. There are many people who love solitude and their sanctuary of solitude is their own living spaces.

But what if this loneliness becomes permanent .....? And not in a room in our house! Not in a jungle! Not on a deserted island! It is frightening to think that I am alone in infinite space and on a planet where there is no life. Dying is a reality that we will all experience when the time comes, but until then, being with our loved ones and doing what we like to do prevents us from thinking about the inevitable.

Being alone on a separate planet, with not enough oxygen, not enough food and no one else around, makes you think about the inevitable end (death) every second. When it comes to dealing with the difficulties of life, no one gives in easily. They struggle as much as they can and try to turn the unfavourable situation into a favourable one while trying to eliminate the problems.

This is perhaps an instinctive gift, we don't know exactly what we are capable of achieving until we are faced with difficulties, because when difficulties come knocking at the door we start looking for remedies.

When someone exposed to extreme heat wants to cool off, when someone exposed to extreme cold wants to warm up, it is only a temporary need that arises at that moment and the instinct to produce a solution based on the need. For example, no one drinks urine as water, but someone who is buried under the earthquake cave-in is forced to do so after a while in order to survive until help reaches him.

There are thousands of examples of how changing circumstances can change the rules of the game. Each example contains an improvised story that develops as circumstances arise, and the common thread in each story is to buy time to survive.

The Martian, which I watched for the fourth time today (if I remember correctly), is the film that pushed me to all these thoughts. Although it is not very old in terms of production year (2015), I watched it for the fourth time. Moreover, I do not mind the long duration of the film because every moment of the film manages to directly experience the fear of being alone. Of course, I should remind you again that loneliness here has a very different meaning. It is an infinite space and even if someone comes to your aid instantly, it will take 4 years to reach you!

Being 80 million kilometres from home is as scary as being alone in space.

If I were in Mark's place in The Martian, would I struggle to live as he did? Or would I surrender to my fate? These are difficult answers to give, but the change of circumstances determines how the struggle is put forward. Just like Mark did!

Who hasn't seen the film The Martian? I think most cinema lovers have seen the film, the character of Mark, played by Matt Damon, is a beautiful and high performance that can serve as an example for those with weak willpower and struggle power. While watching the film, there is an increase in the belief that even in the most difficult circumstances, hope for life should be constant. This is a strong reflection of the film and provides motivation to those who weaken and break their ties with life.

If you grow crops in a place, you colonise it. This way of thinking in the film leads Mark to colonise the planet Mars!

The only thing I can say about watching it is that if you haven't watched it, I guarantee that you will understand that 2.21 hours of time is not wasted. Okay, taste, taste, beauty is relative and everyone's style is different, but I think the film appeals to everyone.
