Well, this would be some contrast to what I always say. You have always heard me saying that we should always listen to our own inner voice and not get taken down by other people's perception about us. And I still stand by this statement. But then there are times when we should put an ear to what other's say and think about us.
Why I am saying this today? Last night I was with some of my friends and we were playing a game. The game was that each one of us had to say something about each one in the group. So when it was one and my friends were saying things about me I became very emotional, because what they thought of me was way too nice then even what I think of my own-self. And I could see and feel that there was no fakeness, it was all genuine and from their heart. I was almost in tears. While they said many good things about me, they also pointed out my weakness. Sometimes I am very stubborn and if things do not happen my way I throw tantrums. This is my grey area which I have to work upon. My hubby also agreed to this one :-)
While I do not take it very seriously of what people think about me, but yes when people think good and kind about you, it surely is a compliment and you know that you have done a lot of inner work to reach to that level. There is a difference between perception and feedback, while I negate perceptions I always accept feedback about myself and I am wanting to be a better person every day. Where my paths do not match with other people's path, I choose to leave those paths and be cordial just not with them but with myself also.
When people think good about you, it's the real treasure of life that you have accumulated.
