When You Want To Give Up: Use Your Strength

in love •  4 years ago

When you want to give up, sometimes it's easy to look at the people close to us that love us and wish we were still around. Sometimes we even blame ourselves somehow for the break-up or divorce or whatever reason there might be. There is nothing wrong with holding onto those thoughts of self-pity. It's human nature to want to cling to any tether we can find. Hold tight to what you think makes you feel good and you will discover your own strength.

When you are alone and you are questioning your own strength, you often begin to question the relationships in your life. I am not saying that you should start beating yourself up about breakups or divorces. That's a whole new topic on its own. What I am suggesting is that when you are feeling down and depressed, and you have no one that you are close to, take some time and really think about what you have been doing to create your own strength.

For example, have you been living in a materialistic lifestyle and chasing money around? Have you been wasting your time worrying about bills and what bills might come in the next month or two? When you want to give up and when you are questioning your own strength, those kinds of unimportant things will drag your down and distract you from the important things in life such as loving your children and family, building a career and earning a great living, spending time with friends and meaningful activities.

Those are all important things. When you think about your strength, these are the things that get you through life. Do you see how this helps you? When you want to give up and you are questioning your ability to make it, those types of unimportant things will creep into your mind and keep you from focusing on the important life issues. You can't afford to do that. If you can't focus on the things that matter most in your life then you won't be able to live life to the fullest and you'll feel like giving up is just the beginning.

When you want to give up think about your strength. Find things that inspire you. When you are thinking about your strength, you are connecting with the part of yourself that wants to live life to the fullest. When you are thinking about your strength and what motivates you in life, you can't help but move forward. Your goals will align and you can turn your life from something that's going on in the present into a goal and something that's planned for the future.

Your personal strength is something that comes from within and is unique to you. Don't chase after some unattainable goal because you think that someone else has the answers. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, what matters is what is best for you, and what inspires you in life. When you want to give up, think about your strength and it will always lead to your success no matter what.
