One of the things we celebrate is living to a full age. Many people regard it as an indicator of having had a wonderful and fulfilling life. This is a critical prayer point for the majority of individuals. All of us hope to live long enough to see our grandchildren. There are various benefits to living into old age. These include opportunities to see more of one's dreams come true. It also provides more opportunities to discover the beauty of the planet. Most significantly, it allows us to see and engage with the people we say we love.

Nonetheless, living to a very old age presents numerous obstacles for both the individual and his environment. As people get older, there appears to be a separation between generations. This is not unrelated to technological progress, civilization, fashion, and everything else that keeps the human race in style. Each generation boasts that it possesses new, better, and more complex things than the previous generation, while the latter asserts that the world would have been better off without these things. This generational rivalry, however, is always tilted against the younger generation, as they are the primary drivers of labor and civilization.

I believe that as humans get older, they become disillusioned with the current situation of the world. They, like babies, become completely unaware of their surroundings. They must constantly re-orient themselves to new advances in their settings. Those who don't care retreat into the shadows, shocked and confused at how they had become complete strangers in a world they once called their own. I really believe that we do not have to live for so long that we lose sight of reality.

I find it odd that as we get older, we are more likely to have more family members, yet we are also more prone to become lonely. As a man grows older, he accumulates more records of close, loved ones who have fallen victim to death. Even if the world's population is growing, the people who matter most are no longer alive. This results in a slew of unforgettable, sentimental recollections. A good explanation why I'd never want to survive a zombie apocalypse. I couldn't cope with a strange, new environment full of unsettling recollections of friends and loved ones!

The world belongs to the youth! I believe that the knowledge required to navigate and succeed in each stage of life is best passed on by the important players at the time. Without a doubt, young people are more adapted to their time's sophistication. This is not to deny the value of older people's experiences. Nonetheless, an expert swordsman must be trained how to wield revolvers in a twenty-first century war. Skills and ideologies become obsolete with time.

Consider a population that is aging at an alarming rate; a broad economic downturn is unavoidable. This is not unrelated to a diminished labor force because there will be a bigger proportion of the dependent non-working class in the population. Another disadvantage of having a long life is that nature has predisposed everyone to a higher risk of life-threatening illnesses as they mature. Cancers, diabetes mellitus, Alzheimer's disease, osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases, arthritis, cataracts, and other age-related disorders make most people's old life miserable.

As one grows older, various life-changing changes are required to thrive in a less genetically favorable world. Enjoying the many nice things of life to the point where you can no longer enjoy meat owing to various tooth problems, or in certain circumstances having to cope with fecal or urinary infections. Overall, while old age may appear to be unavoidable, it is also beneficial that we live long enough to fulfill our potential.

However, long life may not be as enjoyable as one may expect. And death may not be as formidable an adversary as we had previously assumed.
