It means accepting the fact that your existence is affected by external forces. And you can do something about it. BE Strong was born out of the Moore's desire to find effective ways to help his son overcome bullying at school.
The website has been used by parents to talk about ways best to stop child bullies and have transformational conversations with their children about the value of being strong. Be Strong is not a website that tells you how to be strong. Rather, it is more of a website which encourages you to have such a strong character, by having conversations with your children about it. According to the website's founding partner, Mr. Moore, the aim of the website is to provide young people with" transformative conversations".
Transformative conversations are "the fundamental building blocks of constructive discipline in schools, communities, and societies". The 10 modules presented by Be Strong are meant to inspire young people to think for themselves.
