Time or Money? My Dilema

In today's world everything is expensive.

The classic trade-off is time for money. We live in a time that is changing, but the battle for resources is as old as time. One must expend energy to get the resources needed to thrive.

There are lots of pros and cons to the argument. The classic argument against trading money for time is that you can't buy time. However not being able to afford the basics or being very kind of money brings a lot of stress and that stress leaks into your free time. In 2023, I have decided to increase my quality of Life by decreasing my time and increasing the money that I make. I believe that in many times money is worth more than time and I'm going to explain why.

Money makes life less stressful. working all day and living paycheck to paycheck feels like you're spending in a hamster wheel not going anywhere. Passed a certain point I got fed up of living paycheck to paycheck and realize I would rather change some of my ample time into money. Also, you can make up for some of the time loss that you spent getting that money by delegating things. You can pay people to do stuff you don't want to do if you have money which in essence buys you time. Another argument is that if you have more money to enjoy your time your quality of life is going to go up. If you have a abundant time but you have nothing you can afford to fill that time with it's basically a burden.

On the flip side of the coin having less time mean to have less time to take care of things. you have to be extra vigilant about your health and you have to make sure that you're maintaining relationships in your life. There's some things in life you can't simply delegate you have to actually do it yourself. Also, if you have a lot of time but no money you're going to spend a lot of effort trying to make ends meet which is a job in and of itself and very stressful. I will bet that if you looked at the time spent you would spend almost the same amount of time worrying and trying to make things work as if you were actually working and making headway in your personal financial life.

At this time with the way the world is going money is more important to me than time. I will gladly trade time for money because my quality of life will decrease if I don't have money. I am pursuing second jobs and side hustles to make it in this crazy world in the hopes that the future will be brighter.

My big goal in 2023 is to stop living paycheck to paycheck. It has been said that some three out of four Americans actually live paycheck to paycheck and that's something that I am done doing. Not being able to afford stuff and having a lot of time to fill is exhausting. I worry about making ends meet and bills I have a lot of time and I'm willing now to use that time to fix my issue.
