I had an epiphany one day. It was the day I realized I could make a living making a living. I thought I was all in. I had a nice home, a nice car, a nice family, and a nice salary. But I never felt comfortable about the whole picture. There was always something missing.
I looked to my past and realized I had spent most of my life working to live instead of living to work. I had started a business to pay the bills and ended up doing it full time. I had done anything I could to support myself and my family, including taking a job at a place I despised and hating the hours they were requiring.
It all seemed pointless and so I did what many people do when they get a little too comfortable with where they are - I stopped living and started existing. It became a vicious cycle. I'd stop eating healthy food, I'd skip workouts, and I'd sit on the couch all day watching TV.
And then I would go to the gym, drink smoothies, and play with my kids. But I was still unhappy and unfulfilled. It didn't matter how hard I worked; I was still not happy. So I started looking for answers and solutions online. I started to read blogs, podcasts, books, and articles.
What I found out was pretty crazy.
First, I learned that it is possible to be happy in life if you really want to be.
Second, I learned that you don't have to sacrifice your health for a career.
Third, I learned that it was entirely possible to be a full-time stay-at-home mom while earning a living. And fourth, I learned that you don't even have to take on a traditional 9-5 job to get the lifestyle you've always dreamed of.
With some creative planning and discipline, anyone can find a way to earn a full-time income while living the lifestyle they've always wanted.
Here's what I learned from all of this:
You can change your life, start living the life you always wanted, and finally become the version of yourself you always wanted to be.
