The only disability in life is a bad attitude. For as long as we are alive, people who are not physically disabled will have to deal with the emotional and financial consequences of their disability. And many times, they'll have to deal with it without help from anyone else. That's because there are so many people in this world who believe that they are exempt from the financial responsibilities of being able-bodied.

If you've ever met somebody who thinks that they are exempt from having to deal with the necessities of life, then you know that they probably came across some trouble at some point. Whether they dealt with a physical limitation or an intellectual disability, the person did come across some trouble and that often tainted their view of life. Because of their limited abilities, the people who were born with those limitations often felt as if they were unworthy of living. The only disability in life is a bad attitude.
Many times, the people who believe that they are exempt from living the life that they're meant to live don't even recognize that they have some physical limitations. They think that their disabilities are simply part of the way that they are. In a society that is seeing more people with disabilities, it's important to understand the difference between a person who thinks that their disabilities are part of who they are and a person who sees disability as something that prevents them from doing the things that they want to do in life. People who do not have disabilities but who perceive themselves as exempt from having to deal with the practical aspects of life must come to terms with the fact that they might have to adapt some of their thinking and acting to compensate for their physical limitations.
People who do come across some real hardships, either physically or emotionally, generally tend to view disability as something negative. They tend to see disability as something that is preventing them from living life to the fullest. This kind of viewpoint is one of the reasons why there is so much stress and anxiety about disabilities. People who are not able-bodied tend to focus on the limitations of their bodies rather than on the potentialities of their minds and spirits.
There is hope, however. There is a way that you can overcome your victim mindset and learn to embrace your abilities instead of denying them. The way that you do this is to identify your personal limitations. For many people, the key to unlocking their true potential is to acknowledge that they may have some physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual limitations. Once you start seeing these limitations as real, you can use them to your advantage and realize that you can be a happy, productive, and effective person even with your disabilities.
One of the ways that you can accomplish this is to write down your limitations on paper. You don't have to do this by hand. You can do it online using special software programs designed just for doing this. When you make a list of your "limitations," you'll notice a shift in your attitude. You'll notice that you're now happier and more content. Because of your newfound happiness and contentment, you'll be able to use your abilities to be a productive member of society.
The only disability in life is a bad attitude, and once you understand that you have these limitations, you can use them to your advantage. It's not your fault that you have these limitations. Many people who have been labeled as "dependent" have been forced to feel that they need to take care of themselves because of their disability. The only way that they can get out of this victim mindset is to work to change their attitude and gain self-confidence.
