It’s been said that “perfectionism is self-loathing.” In my opinion, perfectionism has a lot of negative repercussions – including self-loathing. The good news is that the only thing you need to change is your self-perception of your body image. So how do you change it? Here are three simple steps.
STOP focusing on the number on the scale
Start paying attention to the food you eat. Focus on the quality of your meals. How do your clothes fit? Are you comfortable? Do you have time to do the things that give you joy? These are all important to know about your body.
STOP comparing yourself to others
There’s a lot of pressure put on girls today to look like the models in magazines. But we are all different. We are unique. Stop measuring yourself against those fake bodies – you aren’t them.
STOP making excuses
If your mind tells you to be a certain weight, do it. Don’t worry about the number. If you want to lose some weight, be happy you even have that desire.
STOP focusing on the number on the scale and start focusing on how you feel inside. It’s okay to eat the food you love, and it’s okay to love the body you’re in.
