My 2 year old baby locked herself in bathroom..

Hello everyone..
Prayers for everyones well being..

I have been not so active on blurt from last couple of weeks..I'm missing it very much as well some of my blurt friends are also missing me here on blurt specially @madarchs ..And I feel sorry for that.. But maybe for some more days I'll be away from blurt.. Not totally away but I can't be as active as i used to be in my early days on blurt..

I'm not a working woman but I'm a mother of 4 kids and I've to take care of everything from cooking, laundary, dishes, cleaning and teaching my kids, all alone.. My husband helps me in all my home chores whenever he gets time but He's a medico and works 2 shifts of 8 hrs a day so he almost spents 16 hrs away from home + In a month he gets almost 4-5 extra duties..So somedays he use to be away from home round the clock..
And as we are living in a nuclear family, I don't have any one beside me to look after my kids.. But luckily my parents reside in same city so I visit there whenever my patience reaches it's limit.. 🤯🤯

Every kid is naughty nowadays but every mother claims her kids are more naughty than others.. And my claim is also one and the same..

But day before yesterday water flowed over my head when my 2 year old daughter locked herself in bathroom..!!!
And no one just we two were there at home..

Actually I forgot to bring towel in bathroom while taking her for bath.. So after giving her bath I came out of the bathroom to just take towel from hanger next to bathroom door 🚪but it was not there so i moved towards cupboard and took the towel and tried to return as early as possible but...
'Alas..!!!'
Within just a minute or less she locked herself in the bathroom..

Initially she was so happy that she was shouting and dancing in bathroom.. But I was sinking in deep negative weird thoughts from the very first moment..
I was loosing all my courage..
But I tried hard to be calm and make her open the door.. And I was navigating her through the small gap in door..

But she was not at all following me and was just hoping as if she has acheived something very big..
As she has never locked a door before this time..
I tried and tried and calmly called my husband and said the whole scenario..
As soon as I informed him, he left from his workplace..
And at the same time I tried to make my daughter open the door..
But instead of opening the door she opened the taps of both hot and cold water.. As soon I heard the sound of water i switched off the geyser.
Bucket was overflowing and she started screaming and shouting "Ma ji, Ma ji" (Mumma mumma)
And i was able to see the bucket from a little gap in door.. 🚪She was crying by holding the bucket.
I was having strange thoughts..!!
What if she fell in bucket??? Etc etc
So i called my lil brother also..
And I started crying uncontrollably..meanwhile my called buy i wasn't able to talk her..
Then I thought to put my fingers from the gap below the door and told her to hold it to make her stay away from bucket full of water.. When she saw my fingers she rushed towards door and tightly held my fingers..
It calmed us both a lot.. We both sat holding each other's fingers like this only till anyone comes for help..
My brother and father came first..
My brother asked me to give a piece of cloth or rope..
So i gave him a cloth..
He tied one end to the lanch of door and gave the other end of cloth in my father's hand and told him to hold it tightly..
And he started pushing the door hardly and broke the door..

As the door was tied and held by so it didn't hurt my daughter..
This is how we took her out.." Alhamdulillah "
As soon she came out, she began to hug everyone followed by each other..
My husband came after she was taken out.. Followed by my one more brother.
My husband reached late as he was little away from home and my brother and father reached fast.. So i think it's always good to seek help from more than 1 person in such situations, because someone will come soon from another one..

She was locked inside maybe for 20-25 mintes only but she was scared for 2 days..

We all were busy with her only to divert her mind from that trauma..

Oh my goodness! I Lost my mind while reading the story. Scary! Allah ka lakh shukar she is fine. May Allah protect all our kids from all hadesath balaiyat and sanehat. This was the dua that my Nani used to give us.
I feel it was very courageous of you and your daughter both to face such a situation so strongly. I was broken into pieces out of fear as I was proceeding with the blog. I think it was very wise of your brother the way he managed to open the door. In such situations, children do get hurt. I would suggest you give some sadqa on her name. I am sure you must have done it already, but just a reminder.

May Allah help her to get out of this trauma soon and forget about it completely. Even my nephew during the same age locked himself in a bedroom and now he is 7 but even today he gets scared of closed doors. He just panics even if the doors get shut with the wind. He even has lift phobia because we have to close the lift doors to use it. He prefers to use the stairs and climb
5 floors to avoid using elevator alone. I am not saying all this to scare you but to prepare you.

I am really sorry your daughter had to go through such situation but thank you for sharing this story with us. There are many lessons and take aways in this story for parents of Toddlers especially.

Yes my dad gave sadaqa soon after she came out but i forgot to mention it in post..
It took me 2 days to complete this post 🙄
She doesn't allow me to use phone..Nowadays I'm using my mobile very secretly to avoid my child's screen time..

And yes alhamdulillah she's all fine now..
I am at my mom's place only to divert her and make her forget that incident..

It's so pity about your nephew that he has not yet came out of that trauma even after this long period of time..
May Allah help him forget that and make him strong enough to face his fear and come out of it..
Because i have read somewhere that one has to face his fear in order to get out of that fear..

In order to do so, next time when i took my daughter in bathroom, i said her to lock the door but she got scared and started crying..
So i thought maybe it's too early to do it..
But after knowing about your nephew, i think i should remove that fear from her heart in early stage only..
And i have to train her to open and close the door, from now itself..
