Lessons for Life: Honesty is Clean and Brilliance is Dirty

Honesty is clean and brutality is dirty. Honesty is the best policy and should be followed in all situations. Honesty is also a key trait for leadership. It is a quality that everyone should aim to have. Here are a few examples of how honesty is a key trait.

Integrity
Integrity is a lesson that can be applied to many aspects of life. It is the quality of being honest and doing the right thing, whether or not it is obvious to others. It is a quality that is essential for long-term survival, and a strong foundation for any business. Businesses and relationships built on lies and dishonesty are destined for failure.

Fairness
Developing a sense of justice and fairness is essential at an early age, but children's understanding of these concepts is often superficial. To help children grasp the concept, a 3rd grade teacher recently shared her approach, using a TikTok video.

Cleanliness
One way to instill the importance of cleanliness in children is by making room monitors an important part of the school day. These students have the responsibility of wiping down desks and keeping tables clean and clutter-free. Likewise, beginning-day recorders will assess the cleanliness of the room at the start and end of the school day. This way, the whole class will know how clean the classroom is and can work to improve it if the conditions are not ideal.

Openness
Openness is an essential part of life. It helps us align with the flow of life and attract experiences that expand our energy and enrich our experiences. Being open to the world around us helps us learn and grow, and it also makes life easier.

Righteousness
Righteousness is the practice of doing what is right in the eyes of God. From a very early age, children are taught right from wrong. For example, toddlers learn not to pull a cat's tail or touch a hot stove. They also learn that hitting someone or throwing a fit is wrong. When they make the right choices, they are rewarded and disciplined accordingly.

Virtue
Honesty is a fundamental moral virtue. A virtuous agent will act with the intent to prevent suffering, establish truth, and pay off debts. It is not a virtue to deliberately harm someone.
