Last time, I shared how we initiated the fence wall for our house. Today, I am going to share some updates on how it went.
After selecting the mason, we took a quotation for the work. Once the materials were ready, we commenced the construction. Since there were some cinnamon trees in the area, we had to remove a few of them before digging the foundation bases. We ensured there was enough space from the road to avoid any disturbance to pedestrians.
Once the foundation was completed, they started building the brick wall, and within two days, they finished it. The fence wall was about 20m long and 6 feet tall, including space for two gates – the main gate and a wicket gate.
Next, the plastering began, starting with the columns. The mason and crew faced some difficulties due to the rain during the plastering process. Despite taking more time than expected, we were able to finish it neatly.
The third step involved molding, which proved to be the most tricky and time-consuming part. The mason meticulously crafted each molding line with extra care. Since molding activity cannot be done all at once, he worked on two columns simultaneously.
The beauty of the wall gradually became visible with the addition of molding. While the work is not yet complete, I am excited to see the final result.
Oh it is almost finished. Looking forward to see the final product. You’ve got a big place.👍
These days we have some rainy times. So we had to pause the work for few days.
