The first week of November I spent in Colombo and regularly visited the office the whole week. I specifically went office to welcome our new interns from UCSC. This time, the arrival of interns is very special as for the first time I got the opportunity to directly mentor and train them.
On the first day, we did a warm welcome and as normal they looked so excited but nervous. Slowly we became more friendly and comfortable with each other. We had already prepared a special training program just to fill the gaps between university life and professional life.
We had arranged several sessions like HR sessions, business introductions, and many more through their first week. Actually, both of the interns fastly adapted to the project and the process we are having.
When it comes to the 7th day they were very friendly with all the team. This is a very good experience for me to improve my skills in talking and teaching. Also, it's a very challenging task to assign them tasks so that they can learn something.
They will spend with us for 6 months and I am really looking forward to seeing someone covering for me while having a great hands-on experience. Now our team is super grown and it can be a good turning point for every individual.
