Boundaries are often misunderstood as a "hard rule" that limits freedom, but in reality they're much more about setting priorities and focusing on what's important. They'll help you set boundaries so you can focus on your most important needs and goals.
I use a three step process for setting my boundaries. It's a simple strategy that helps me to stay productive and avoid wasting time on tasks that aren't important.
STEP 1: Define the Task
In this step, I define the task ahead of time. This will help me focus my attention on what I want to get done instead of worrying about distractions and side effects. For example, if I have a task to write an article, I make sure I'm fully focused on it and completely ignore everything else going on around me. I also remove the task from my To Do list so I won't be tempted to look at it unless absolutely necessary.
STEP 2: Create a Reminder List
Before I start working on a task, I create a reminder list. This lets me know I'm about to step outside my comfort zone and set myself up to fail. I'll remind myself why I need to do this and what I will do if I don't succeed.
Here's a sample reminder list for me to do a few things over the next few days.

STEP 3: Execute
Finally, once all the steps above have been completed, it's time to execute! This is the only time I will start a task.
Remember the goal here is to keep a list of reminders. This will help me prioritize my actions and focus on what really matters. After completing the list, I make a commitment to myself and then move on to the next task.
