It's weekend time

in life •  2 days ago

For me, my weekend begins on Thursday evening itself. In Oman our weekend is on Friday and Saturday. In UAE also it was the same but that has changed recently, they have aligned with the global weekend days. But people are in benefit with this, because Friday since it's their important prayer day, majority of the offices work half day and then Sat and Sun is holiday. Practically, they have 2.5 days of weekend. How I wish they would introduce something like that here as well....haha. In all the other Middle East countries there is still Fri and Sat holidays that is observed.

Plans for this weekend is to do some home shopping, nothing big to buy but just some regular things for the home, and yes one important thing to do is buy a gift for my hubby. Our Anniversary is approaching soon and this time I want to gift him a phone. He has been using his recent phone for around 6 years and I feel it's time for a change since it's giving some issues also. I would like to gift him something that would be useful and for this year I feel that the phone is the best. We have not yet decided which one, over the weekend we will go and check out at the mobile store.

One of the days I also want to go for this new movie released Red One, it has my favorite cast Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans and the review seems to be exciting. So in all I guess it's going to be a good weekend with some work and lots of fun.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

I have been using the same mobile phone for 12 years... NONE! I am happier and healthier, and more free. The smart phone will someday be recognized as the biggest tool of slavery in our time. My wife and I don't even allow any mobile phones into our household, or near our children. Our oldest is 5 and he still does not know what a mobile phone is, except that "some people have tiny computers in their pockets". Well some people's devices are no longer in their pockets, but already worn on their wrist, or their glasses, or now even inside their brain. Of course that is the future of mobile devices, they will be implanted. The push to get humanity onto a "vaxx passport" in 2021 and 2022 was quite disturbing, and luckily there was enough resistance that it has failed (for now). As for myself, I am stuck in 1999, and I love it! High speed cable internet to my PC, a landline phone, a watch, a flashlight, a calendar, and a map. I don't need smart devices to life live. But I think for people who do, they make an excellent and generous anniversary gift! He is lucky to have you.

Oh my God, I have huge respect for you, to be living that life. I wish that many times for myself, but somewhere I am also a slave of these gadgets, not all but the phone for sure. Because I travel a lot I like to take pictures and this has been one of my major reason to keep on changing to phones with better megapixels. And then when I travel I need to track emails and other work. Yes, but I know at the same time there are alternatives to this as well, it's just the convenience part. I would not like to go ahead more then a phone, so none of those watches and glasses and alexas are there in my home, even the ear-pods my whole family is against it.
You are right the Vaxx Passports was quite a scare and thank god it did not take off, even I was very scared of that.
The kind of life you live truly is desirable.

Thanks, but like you mentioned, sometimes it's very hard. Other times it's not even possible. For example, I want to buy/sell some cryptocurrencies... nowadays that means either a bank account, or a smart device, or both. It's very hard to stay "unsmart" now. I think it's worth doing for those that are able to. I'm glad you try to minimize the control such things have in your life!
