my chickens

in life •  4 months ago

Hello all, I would like to share my progress in breeding chickens. It has been 25 days. I bought four DOCs. Now, the DOCs have been little chickens. The feathers have come up from their bodies. The chicken look cute.

The chickens consume 3.5 kg factory made feed. I still use factory made food for my chickens because the food has high nutrients. I may still need the factory made feed until 2 months old.

My son likes to play with the chickens. He sometimes feeds them too. However, he does not want to clean up the coop. Everyday, I clean up the coop from the chicken feces so the coop will be healthy environment for chickens.

3.5 kg feed is worth IDR 40,000 or $2.58. My experience, layer chickens will start to lay eggs at the age of 16 to 18 weeks.

The growth of the chickens is quite fast. I put on lamp in the coop because little chickens need more nutrients and energy. I also feed the chickens at night. I usually feed the chickens 3 to 4 times in 24 hours.

These were the DOCs 25 days ago. They were small and weak. Now, the DOCS have become little chickens with short feather. They can jump.

Next month, I need larger coop for my little chickens. I plan to release them on the ground but the location will be closed by bamboo fence.

I hope the chicken will lay eggs on time because I give great feed everyday. The growth of the body is fast. What do you think? Do you like breeding some farm animals?
