School Party

This morning I came to my son's school. He is now in grade 5 of primary school. At the end of year, the school always hold a graduation ceremony. In the ceremony, there are some performances like dancing, drama and poetry reading.

Some students also get rewards of their achievement. This morning my son performed an opera. He danced with his friends.

I came to school late because my son had performed so I did not get his photo while he was dancing. I came to the tent and stood. I watched over the location. It was full of students and parents.

The location was in the school yard. The The event committee set up a stage in the middle of the field. The students sit in front of the stage.

To do this event, parents were not charged. students give a certain amount of money to buy snacks which were coordinated by the students' parents. Tent, stage and and sound system were the responsibility of the school.

Students wore white and red uniform. Some students who performed on stage wore kebaya, and batik. The schedule of events starts at 8 am.

All students looked happy. They enjoyed seeing some performances. Parents were ready with their camera and phone to get the best moments of their kids.

This was a party for kids. Using the school yard made students feel comfortable because the location was in their school. The teachers welcomed parents who came to the party.

Graduation party is the best media to give children a chance to perform in front of public. Children will learn confidence and public ethic. It is the time to express themselves in positive ways.
