New Hobby - Breeding

Dear all friends, this time I would like to share my project "breeding chickens". I have two chickens that lay eggs everyday. Yesterday, I bought 4 DOCS.

I wrote all expenses in ledger. I also make a sheet of the growth of the chicken from DOCS to chickens. I hope my small research help me to build bigger projects.

Breeding chicken in a small scale may not be different in financing than a big scale. In the small live laboratory, taking care life stocks is not easy for one who has no patient in this field. I need to learn a lot of things because I self-taught to the knowledge.

I use wired coop for my DOCS because there are predators at night. Big rats like to eat DOCS. The rats had killed 5 DOCS few months ago.

Docs need warm temperature. A lamp will heat the temperature at night and make the docs feel comfortable. Healthy docs will be Lively and active. They will eat much. The eyes look bright.

In this project, I plan to breed 10 DOCS so I need to buy 6 DOCS. A price of a DOC is $0.5. The seller is a retailer. I can not buy DOCS from factory because I should order big number of DOCS while my project needs only 10 to 20 DOCS.

My DOC type is ISA Brown . The chickens have high productivity of eggs. They are also resistant to disease. I do not have to give vitamins as long as I provide enough food and water in the coop. Thanks for reading, I will update my project in the coming posts.
