When every human being in this world can understand the word happiness. Then he worked hard and tried hard to get this happiness in life. Maybe a little happiness in exchange for a lot of hardship or some other reason, but it is only temporary. At least we can understand that happiness is not found in our hard work or money. Happiness depends entirely on the satisfaction of the mind.
But it is also true that happiness is different for different people. But happiness turns around and gets stuck in a certain place. And that is the satisfaction of the mind. And that is a complex issue for us. Because we human beings are very greedy type. Our minds are never full. In fact, our nature has become such that our needs change over time. At the same time our demand is increasing day by day. And as a result, that demand can never be met. So the word happiness is found only in dictionaries. But never found in the dictionary of our minds.
You survey the happiness of some poor and some rich people! You will see that poorer people are happier than rich people. The reason is that the demand of poor people is much less than that of rich people. And they are happy because of this low demand. In fact, poor people or the children of poor families are satisfied with little. Their needs are not skyrocketing. When they get a little something, they start dancing with great joy. That is why it is so easy for them to feel happy. But to show rich people, the reality is completely opposite.
But rich people or the children of rich people get a lot easily. Even if they get a lot of impossible things, they think it's normal. They think they want something better than that. That means their demand is skyrocketing. This extra need of theirs causes unrest in their minds. I have seen some rich families. There is no point of peace in the family. Family members are dissatisfied with everything. Because their demand is excessive. And these extra needs never bring happiness to their minds. Of course, there are some exceptions.
As I have heard many people say I am happy if I can educate my child well. Then it appears that at the end of her child's education he continues to say that if our son gets a good job then I am very happy. Later it is seen that when his son gets a good quality job then he changes the definition of happiness in a different tone. Then again I am happy if I can see the faces of my grandchildren in my last years. In this way the demand increases one after the other and as the demand is met another demand is created. As a result, we cannot truly feel happy.
Finally, I would like to say that the happiest person in this world who has no need. That is, he who can control his own needs and be satisfied with little is truly happy. It is not a difficult task but a work of our minds. It is possible if you want from the heart. Or finding people around us who can make us forget our extra needs and be less satisfied. Maybe that's why people who are neglected in the hospital or on the sidewalk are a great place for us to be inspired. We are not satisfied with the luxuries of the mind while some people are lying on the sidewalk or fighting to the death in the hospital. Hopefully we can be a little satisfied with seeing them. That means we have to learn to be content with little. Only then can we be truly happy.
