oday is the highlight of my son's week-long 9th birthday celebration - his birthday bash. It feels like only yesterday that I found out I was pregnant and felt a mix of emotions. Time has flown by, and now my son is nine. As a mother, it brings me immense joy to celebrate my son's special day with our loved ones. We've invited our neighbors, family, friends, and everyone close to our hearts to celebrate with us today.
I rushed to Bogo city to have a tarpaulin printed for my son's birthday celebration. I always go to this particular store beside GLOBE Store for urgent printing needs, as they offer excellent assistance. The tarp was sized at 3 feet by 7 feet and cost 360 pesos. The store owner created a fantastic underwater-themed design layout, using my son's photos, which I was thrilled with. It was exactly what I wanted for my son's birthday celebration this year.
As a mother, one of the things that excites me the most every year is choosing the theme for my son's birthday celebration. It's a thrill for me to think about the design of the cake and the overall party theme. I always look forward to this momentous occasion every year.
To make our buko pandan tapioca salad, we gather all the necessary ingredients. Since we have an abundance of coconuts on our property, we decided to use them in our dessert. The ingredients include tapioca pearls, cheese, gelatin, and bits of coconut. We will be having two desserts for my son’s birthday bash : this buko panda tapioca salad and the mango cheese ice cream that I ordered.
I am grateful for my beau as he helped me out. My beau works as a cook at one of the largest restaurants in the Philippines and he's great at what he does. He cooked everything for us today except for the lechon.

One of the dishes that my beau cooked was the carbonara; one of the things I love most when he does his cooking is I get to all that he prepares just to make sure that it tastes perfectly. He gave me a portion of the carbonara that he made, and I paired it with the French bread, and it was perfectly amazing. I would rate it at 10 out of 10. The fettuccine pasta was cooked perfectly well, and the sauce is bursting with many flavors.
Here in the Philippines, if there are special occasions or birthdays, there will always be lechon or roasted whole pig. For today, we had lechon , which was 53 kilograms. It was cooked perfectly

When the lechon was cooked, we then served all the foods that we prepared.

My beau cooked and prepared everything and he had good feedback and reviews from our neighbors and visitors, shall we start our own business? Kidding aside, I know he is a great cook because he prepares the best meals for me everyday.

This year, we're going with an underwater theme, inspired by our recent visit to the Cebu Ocean Park. My son loves the beach and swimming, so it's the perfect choice for him. We even have an underwater-themed chocolate cake for him.

The presence of everyone was truly appreciated, but some of our dear ones went above and beyond by showering my son with lovely gifts. Some brought a scrumptious cake, while others gave thoughtful presents. A few close friends and family members even handed him cash. My son was ecstatic about the birthday haul and decided to save up the money for a new bicycle, which he had been eyeing for a while.
The celebration was so much fun and we all enjoyed it indeed. Til next year! Ciao!☺︎♡
