In my previous blog, I shared about the students' annual Christmas party, which my third-grade son attends and my mother hosted for her students at the school where she teaches sixth-grade, at Caduawan Elementary School - Caduawan, Tabogon, Cebu. The party is a highly anticipated event that is both fun and exciting for everyone. Since the students already had their fair share of the fun part, it is the time for the teachers to celebrate their annual Teachers’ Christmas Party. This year, they chose their venue to be at Maayo Hotel and Resort, Victoria, San Remigio, Northern Cebu, Philippines. The resort offers world-class service.

We came from Bogo City and this is the view heading San Remigio. From Bogo City Proper to Maayo Hotel and Resort, it is approximately an hour motorcycle drive.

Before we head to the resort, we stopped by Prince Hypermart - San Remigio to buy some snacks.

After an hour of travel, we arrived at the Maayo Hotel and Resort San Remigio. As we approached the entrance, the hotel's signage caught our attention. After parking our motorcycle, we noticed a playful monkey that caught my son's attention. We approached the monkey and took a photo of it. My son was thrilled to see a monkey again, even though it was not his first encounter with one.

Spotting rare animals always brings a thrill, not only to kids but also to the young at heart. After admiring the monkey, we proceeded to the concierge to purchase our entrance tickets. As we arrived around noon, it was an ideal time to grab some lunch.

While en route to the concierge, we stumbled upon a breathtaking fountain situated in the center of the area. This spot is ideal for capturing a photo, as it exudes a charming aesthetic that is sure to enhance any picture.

The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a festive display of Christmas decorations. The theme this year seemed to be centered around a white Christmas or the idea of Christmas during winter. It was quite exhilarating to see the entire place adorned with holiday cheer. Maayo’s entrance was particularly impressive, setting a great tone for the rest of the establishment.

If you're having trouble finding the establishment you're looking for, don't worry. There are directions and signs everywhere to guide you in the right direction. The resort is quite large, so it's easy to get lost, especially if it's your first time here. Just follow the signs and you'll get to where you need to go.

Upon arriving at the concierge, we were greeted by informative signs displaying the resort's rules and regulations, accepted modes of payment including debit and credit cards, and the option for cash payments. Although I usually prefer using cashless transactions, due to the convenience they offer, I decided to pay in cash today as I was unsure if they accepted cards. Additionally, since the resort is located far from the nearest ATMs, it would have been inconvenient to go back and withdraw money. Therefore, I brought cash with me and paid in full, and this is the total amount we paid.

For the adults, that's 650 pesos per head, and there's two of us, and we have one nine-year-old child, which costs us 325 pesos per head. So the inclusion for this is that we get a free lunch for the three of us, and there are three towels to use, and that's they an access for the pool and the beach as well.

Take in the stunning view of the pool from the upper lobby of this resort. The photos above showcase a stunning interior with vibrant colors and classy furniture that all contribute to a tropical and aesthetically pleasing vibe. This resort is perfect for those seeking a getaway that embodies both relaxation and style.

Meanwhile, this is their lower lobby, which is again aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, and it just gives so much. Mediterranean vibes and everything here is just worth taking a photograph of. I just love how they chose the furniture and added some designs to enhance the beauty of it even more. The place is indeed beautiful, and it's worth it.

For only 650 per head, you'll get to enjoy a beautiful cottage that comes with a free lunch, towels, and access to the pool and beach. The cottage itself is spacious, and it's equipped with power outlets, which means you can easily charge your devices while you're there.

While waiting for our food to be served, we couldn't resist the temptation of taking a dip in the pool. As a swimming enthusiast, any opportunity to take a refreshing swim is always welcome, whether it's in the ocean or a pool. Being in the pool with a view of the beach is extremely relaxing, and the sound of chirping birds adds to the peaceful and serene atmosphere. It's days like these that make me wish for more days of leisure.

Approximately half an hour after swimming, our food arrived, and it was perfect for lunch. We had sweet and sour pork and rice to pair it with and some juice and water. They also provided us with their free towels that we could use. I think it will be 9 out of 10. It would have been better if the sweet and Tower park was served hot. Nonetheless, it tasted good, and it was a perfect lunch.

After lunch, I strolled around the resort and stumbled upon Maoy sa Maayo or a Rage Wall, a spot where guests can express their emotions through a unique ritual. If you're feeling angry or upset, you can grab a bottle and smash it against the wall. The tenant mentioned that there is a fee for each bottle thrown, but he was uncertain about the exact amount. He suggested that I inquire at the front desk if I was interested, but since I was feeling content and happy, I decided to skip it. Instead, I continued to explore the resort while waiting for my mother to check-in at 3:00 pm.

My mother @missbebeth then arrived at the resort with her co-teacher.

They then began their Christmas party. Here are the snippets from their party.

It was time for dinner. Here are the foods we shared.

I'm glad they were able to relax and unwind during their short stay. We then headed home at six in the evening because we only paid for a day pass. Merry Christmas in advance everyone! Ciao!☺︎♡
