We are not perfect

What I expect from life is a difficult question to answer, because even though a lot is sometimes expected from it, it is not always favorable. There are many projects and goals to achieve, often leading to going overboard in expectations. Life is simply life, escaping from a definition of black or white, bad or good, harmful or healthy. At the end of the day, the only expectation from life is to live it. The meaning of life is life itself, with its ups and downs, and all the good and bad that can happen.

Fears

Fear is an inevitable emotion for a human being. Life and survival are also inherent conditions. However, fears often relate to the end of existence itself. It is not just about dying, but the ephemeral condition of life itself and the possibility that there is nothing more after this experience.

Strengths

Strengths are closely related to weaknesses; as in everything, there is a duality in these aspects. Strengths help develop academically and professionally.

  • Self-demanding
  • Responsible
  • Planner
  • Perfectionist

Flaws

Related to the previous point, defects are:

  • Excessive self-criticism
  • A little inflexible
  • Sometimes standing still after planning something without executing the plans
  • Procrastination
  • Perfectionism

This last aspect is both a strength and a flaw, as it allows doing things well, but seeking perfection can be detrimental. Reflecting on the phrase, "What would you do today, if you were certain that it would turn out perfect?" can help manage this flaw.

Becoming a Better Version of Yourself

The first step is to know oneself to understand which aspects need improvement. Human beings are in a process of constant change, including self-improvement. There will always be aspects to improve, regardless of the stage of life.

The second step is to take note of what is discovered about oneself and write down those things that will help achieve goals in the form of small habits. For example, in planning, it may be necessary to give up some things liked, such as planning days in detail. Instead, writing down lists of things to do and prioritizing them, doing things without overthinking, can be more effective.
