Ordered Dehumidifier to fix my room's humidity level

in life •  3 years ago

I found out that my room has a high level of humidity which causes a slight bad odor, especially at night. The average humidity inside my room is around 70% which is considered to be beyond the level suitable for people inside an interior space. This is especially true for people who have bronchial issues or asthma.

Based on my online searches, the best level of humidity has to be around 40% to 50%. I also read that 60% has to be the maximum level.

As for my room, I'm reaching the level of 70% on times when it's raining for a few days. Usually, during this time I will start to notice a build-up of tiny molds on some parts of the walls.

I'm annoyed by the build-up of molds because of the stuffy smell.

So, earlier today I made an online purchase of a dehumidifier that fits a small room. It will arrive in 3-5 days from today. It has good reviews and it's also at a discounted price (less 60%). I was hooked by the price but I also checked the recent reviews to learn more about the product. Many are recommending it as it works as advertised.

I'm eager to receive the dehumidifier and test it out in my room. It has a built-in temperature & humidity gauge so I can check if the correct levels are being achieved by the dehumidifier.

I hope that this will turn out to be a good buy for this season. Cheers!
