Car insurance in Florida is ridiculously expensive. I’ve been shopping around, and wow—some of these rates are outrageous. If you have a DUI on your record? Forget about it. The prices are absurd.
It’s wild how bad insurance companies are in this state. I get that Florida’s storms contribute to higher car and home insurance rates compared to the national average, but come on—this is just insane.
From what I’ve seen, even with a clean record, monthly premiums range from about $150 to $300. If you have a DUI or reckless driving charge and need SR-22 or FR-44 insurance, you’re looking at anywhere from $400 to $900.
To me, this feels like outright predatory behavior. It’s disgusting.
