Self-improvement update: budget, hobbies, apps and health

in life •  3 years ago

This is my weekly self-improvement post where I discuss some other things besides crypto-blogging.

My daily 5minute choirs list consists of 40 points, and it is looking better organized every day. I use this to be more efficient, especially if a schedule includes daily activities, work, and family.
I didn't do much online blogging which is very much visible in my weekly finance report. I simply had no time. But, I had a lot of offline activities.

SO LET'S TALK ABOUT THE STUFF!!

1. Family and budget

The budget improved due to a few changes, and I am planning to take upon a few investments so I am sure things will be improved.
Earning versus spending is kind of a better experience.
The car is still in repairs, I don't understand why they are paddling so much but to be honest I do not need it any sooner than the next month.
This is going to be a great opportunity to go about on foot for a while. Also, I have pretty much everything in the house, so we do not need to go to a big shopping mall for a while.
Fuel and food prices are on the rise in general, but only for the certain most popular food products, and as we don't eat exactly those things that were hit by the price increase we are well off compared to others.
I wonder how they can selectively increase food costs and ascribe it to a fuel price increase.

Selectiveness in price increase is a proof of greed and opportunism, not an actual problem or lacks.

2. Fiction and hobbies

Fiction:
I started patching some of my chapters into cohesive stories. It will take a while until I will be able to put together a real ebook for sales.

Movies:

  • The Northman (2022) - didn't like it and I don't care what acclaimed critics say, a movie is confusing and uncomfortable to watch. Definitely not my style.
  • Fantastic Beasts The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022) - I gave up on this one and fell asleep basically at the beginning. I am sure there is something good about it, but it seems it was unable to reach my brain at the time.
  • Uncharted (2022) - I liked this one a lot even if it is predictable and not exactly a stroke of genius.
  • Jurassic World Dominion (2022) - to be absolutely honest, it is not worth your money.

TVShows:
Previously I watched Grimm, and now I started Supernatural. I can say this one is a bit soggy around the edges but still interesting to watch.

Youtube:
I found a channel about the ancient civilizations and some other things, Bright Insight - YouTube, very interesting and provides hours of entertainment.

Ebooks:
Still munching, I mean reading Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky.

I hate to say, but YouTube waas the most entertaining...

3. Dapps, phones, and gadgets

I found a game that was previously ( meaning ten years ago) available only on PC, oh the joy!
I installed a few Japanese food apps and now I am munching on that content.
Yepp is kind of fun, you should see into it.
I try to have only apps that are in some way related to what I am doing, my interests, or that in some way improve and support my lifestyle.

For example, I have Fit, MyNetDiary, and some food apps to check on my nutrition on daily basis. But when I am planning and looking for the resources I visit expert blogs, and people with degrees, experience, and expertise in certain fields. Also, the newest research is very important and to get info from real confirmed sources.

For travel, I have Maps, Earth, Trip Advisor, Instagram, and GPS Tools. I usually go through many others to check on travel necessities.

Delete dead load from your phone. You don't really need that.

4. Divination and spirituality

Well, besides reading tarot and oracles two times, which proved to be useful, I didn't do anything else.

I use only a few decks and tarot for a fact just once a week or when I need it which is not exactly often.
I find that many decks sold are basically just for decorative purposes with very little connection to whatever a purpose of divination is.
By the way, if a person is gifted they can read from food labels equally successful like from some expensive deck.

It is not exacly a hobby...

5. Health, food, and fitness

I finally received good news about my blood work, it seems that the new regime is working well so I am going to keep it.
My diet is not odd in any way, it just limits stuff I am intolerant and the whole ordeal definitely improved our culinary experience.
I have slow-motion fitness because I just recently regain my health, so I am not pushing my luck.
A few weeks ago I said that I will publish my menu, but I keep on delaying it. It had multiple changes so far, so edits are going to happen I guess in the future as well.
