In order to become the person you want to be, it's important to identify what you're afraid of becoming and then turn your fear into your motivation.
Turning your fears into motivations helps you achieve your goals faster and become the person you want to be. In short, your emotions can actually push you closer to your dreams instead of pushing you away from them.
In this article, I'll share with you a few tips on how to become the person you want to be. Let's get started.
STEP 1: Know Your Core Values
Think about the things you're proud of and the values that you hold most dear. Now, think about the values that you don't hold as much pride in.
Once you know what you don't want to be, start identifying all the ways in which you're not living up to your core values.
STEP 2: Focus on What You're Afraid Of Becoming
When you focus on the things you're afraid of becoming, it puts you in control of your emotional experience.
This can be challenging because sometimes your fears manifest themselves in physical symptoms such as trembling, sweating, panic attacks, etc.
However, you need to make the choice to be present in your body and choose to not let your fear control your body's response.
Once you make that choice, your feelings will begin to change and you can start feeling empowered again.
STEP 3: Change Your Emotions, Not Your Actions
You need to make the decision to make positive changes in your life, not necessarily make new choices.
If you make a decision every day to change something in your life, your emotions will gradually change over time.
So, when you're having negative thoughts or emotions, don't immediately start changing your behavior. Take a breath, remember why you made the decision to change, and keep working toward your goal.
It may take months or years, but you'll eventually change your thoughts and feel confident again.
I hope so.
