Firstly, it is a fairly short (short as in a few hundred pages) book. Second, it is in color. It is a well-crafted comic novel. Finally, it has a slew of buzzworthy references.
Aside from the aforementioned premise, Are You Listening? offers a wealth of information about the human condition, a bit of a myriad of quirks and tics, and a dash of magic. The main character's life is about to get a lot more interesting. But before that, she must first deal with some unsavory men who want nothing more than to snoop on her. Thankfully, she has some ol' magic on her side.
The best part is that it isn't as nitpicky as it sounds. Yes, the title page is a tad cluttered, but the pages are numbered and organized, and the text is well paced. Not to mention, the reader will find out that a little effort goes a long way in this industry.
For starters, the author uses color, which is not always a given in a graphic novel. Moreover, the novel uses a lot of textual and visual neoclassicism. Thus, it's more a work of art than a textbook. There's a fair amount of in-joke to be found in its pages, from a cat that finds new hiding places to the aforementioned shady men. As for the actual content, the author is a whiz. Whether or not you agree with her philosophies, it's hard not to be impressed.
If you're a music buff, you might have heard of Spotify. This online streaming platform is also a social media hub, and a good place to find out what your friends are listening to in real time. In addition to the ubiquitous playlists, it has some unique features, like a radio station that offers a selection of music from the most popular artists. To top it off, it's been in business for less than a year, which is remarkable given its massive popularity and fanatical customer base.
Of course, a 365 million strong user base and a billion dollar industry do not come cheap. However, it does offer a plethora of free perks, including music, movies, television shows, audiobooks, and books. Plus, the company has a hefty budget to keep the service running, so you can expect to get a good price on your favorite tunes.
