Beauty is a thing that everyone strives to have. In today's era, it is what everyone achieves through makeup and beauty products. Cosmetics is an easy way to achieve the most beautiful look, but why do we need cosmetics? Why do we want to be beautiful by using harmful chemicals that damage our skin and body? What is the end goal that we are trying to achieve; to have damaged skin but then use these products to hide the damage they have done?
People CAN live a happier life if it is not due to "perfect" beautiful pressure. The beauty of women has been explained throughout history; the term "beauty" has evolved, and until recently women have been told to have the latest trends in cosmetics to be beautiful. Makeup has been around for about 12 thousand years. Woman uses makeup to make them look more beautiful, the woman now and back than weren't happy with their natural beauty so they chose to event or come up with something that would make them beautiful.
Today's era, the beautiful parameters completely altered all health like outside, the face has many layers of makeup, and the western shiny clothing is a symbol of beautiful and attractive people. Makeup and beauty have also dictated some of peoples opinions on others, "Oh you don't look pretty because you don't wear makeup", "If you wore make you could prettier than you are now", "I only hang around pretty people; people who wear makeup."
Our opinions are becoming so shallow. One should not be decided by how beautiful on the outside, but it should be decided how beautiful they are on the inside.
The world is full of imaginary things and people covered with artificial accessories. Everyone is influenced by the attractive world of the entertainment industry and the cosmetics industry. There, people's work looks beautiful and attractive in front of others, regardless of whether they are physically or mentally uncomfortable or uprooted. Therefore, we say "everything that shines is not gold."
If someone looks at today's Victorian society and American society, the cosmetics women wear will reflect women's way of living. Like today's American women, Victorian British women are thought to be more beautiful. However, the purpose and appearance of makeup are different, pale color is ideal, and today women want healthy shine. But they are just covering themselves. They are hiding as if they don't want to show the world the real them.
Cosmetics creates a mask, that mask gives you to hide so your not criticized but it still doesn't help you. Most woman still looks at the mirror and judge themselves saying " I look fat. My face is to round. I don't like my eyelashes. My eyebrows are too bushy. I'm not pretty enough. I should go on a diet, etc."
As a woman, we are the most important women among other women. This constant criticism leads to anxiety. Anyone who seems to be very attractive will be criticized for why no one other woman can support each other. If one woman is prettier than the other sometimes jealousy can form, "Why can't I be as pretty as her."
We need to be able to go in public without makeup, without this mask and not be criticized for not wearing cosmetics. We shouldn't have to spend thousands of dollars to be the perfect doll and fit in with everyone else. Makeup should not dictate how beautiful you are!
I am sorry, LOL but I do not wear any makeup, and never had any issue about it or give it a second thought.
Wearing make-up states the truth that you don't consider yourself as beautiful. If you yourself can't appreciate your own inherent beauty, why would others? And why do one needs to depend on other's benchmarks of beauty! Today, being beautiful means being a victim of some commercial brainwashing ...may be, through other victims like peer pressure.
Everybody is born unique and perfect in its own sense. Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder.
