Growing Romaine lettuce on the window sill

in lettuce •  15 days ago  (edited)

We have started to grow our own Romaine lettuce indoors.

The bunnies and other critters eat it all up whenever we plant outside.

We buy the Mucci “Naked Leaf” Living Romaine Lettuce with root ball…

When we are done eating the lettuce we plant the root ball in a small container of water and it just keeps producing new leaves.

The one in the window is a lettuce but the one in the background I know as Jage, it is a grassy plant of the cactus genus without thorns.

Yes… we have a lot of companion plants for the indoor lettuce garden. The cactus 🌵 is low maintenance.
