I've had this Kdrama on my watchlist since I got a hint about the coming of a second season. That was back in the first quarter of this year. And, for some reason, I never really wanted to watch it until the second season gets released. However, with just a few days left before the release of the first episode of the second season, my curiosity got the best of me. Haha.
Now, I've seen everything there is to see in the first season of this show and my appetite is whetted for more. A surge of anticipation is already overwhelming me. Yeah, that's exactly how good this show is.

This story dives into the crime world of serial arsonists, kidnappers, gangsters, and drug lords and how all categories of crimes committed by these folks get to be tackled by 'the first responders' whenever a distress call is made in South Korea.
The team of first responders highlighted in this are the Police Force, the Fire Service and the Emergency Medical Technicians (Paramedics). The show did a really good job of showcasing how these agencies can collaboratively work together to do what they do best.
The detectives grasp crime scenes, read the move of criminals and hunt down the criminals. The fire service crew do a really good job of stopping the spread of fire whenever they are called upon. They also offer very deep and helpful knowledge that helps in fire and arson investigations. As for the paramedics, their priority is to give first aid treatment and transport injured people to hospitals for proper treatment.
The writer did a good job in beefing up the story and the actors aced their performance especially the part that has to do with showing the human element of people in these lines of jobs and the tough side of the job. Yeah, they are not robots and they are not perfect. They have moments of mistakes and these mistakes can be costly.
That side of the show makes you feel the frustration Detectives feel whenever they are unable to find clues that can help them nab a criminal. You will see how Firefighters feel disgusted about fire. You will also see how paramedics give their best to save lives even if the person in need of medical attention is a bloody criminal.
The first two episodes of the second season of this show will be aired on 4th and 5th August and we are still unsure of the number of episodes we will be getting for this. However, I'm sure we won't be getting anything above 12 episodes since the first season had only that number of episodes.
The first season of the show is wholesome and awesome. I'm genuinely looking forward to the completion of the second season of the show. Hehe.
