Was Jesus a Communist ?

I see all these debates about Socialism and Communism in the News these days.... especially on Twitter

In the USA the Right side says they are fighting against Communism. Or at least a Socialism that wants to provide Free Healthcare, Free University, Free housing .... a Universal Basic income.

Communism failed badly. Mostly because of the Centralized Greed at the Top. The Politburo and Government collects all the money and lives in Castles like Kings while the population starves to death.

This is happening in many places.

Everyone hates Communism.

It is a dirty word.

But didn’t Jesus Himself teach a form of Communism ?

“Each of you who does not give up all he possesses is incapable of being my disciple” (Luke 14:33).

All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need. [...] Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common. [...] There was not a needy person among them, for as many as owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold. They laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need.[29]

— Acts 2:44–45, Acts 4:32–35

Was Jesus a Communist ? A Socialist ? A Capitalist .

This was always something of a scandal for the Christians of later ages, at least those who bothered to notice it. And today in America, with its bizarre piety of free enterprise and private wealth, it is almost unimaginable that anyone would adopt so seditious an attitude. Down the centuries, Christian culture has largely ignored the more provocative features of the early church or siphoned off their lingering residues in small special communities (such as monasteries and convents). Even when those features have been acknowledged, they have typically been treated as somehow incidental to the Gospel’s message — a prudent marshaling of resources against a hostile world for a brief season, but nothing essential to the faith, and certainly nothing amounting to a political philosophy.

I am quite in debt with this #Venezuela is a good example of how in just two decades an oil country can be destroyed to the point of now being the one with the most miserable economy in the world for more than 6 years in a row.

I have reached a point where I have a strong rejection of Communism and Socialism, because seriously here they have not been more than excuses for the massive destruction of the economy, society and the laws.

Under the hypocritical premise of achieving Equality for all, people are simply enslaved to a dehumanizing and castrating ideology of the growth potential of countries and individuals.

So, with this personal experience, I cannot help but consider that these economic-political models are inherently evil and harmful.

Yes ... the leaders who institute this form of Communism want all the money for themselves so they can live a lavish lifestyle .... I don’t think this was how Jesus lived.
